Engine Building & Rebuilding
Engines built
to last.
From a factory-specification rebuild for a daily driver to a forged LS build making serious power — machined, assembled and clearanced properly, with the combination planned before the first part is ordered.
Build Levels
Four ways to build an engine
The right build depends on what the vehicle has to do. These are the four directions we build in — most projects land clearly in one of them once we've talked it through.
Stock replacement
A faithful rebuild to factory specification — for a vehicle you depend on that needs its engine back to reliable, original condition.
- Factory-specification tolerances
- Wear components replaced
- Machining as required
- Reliability as the priority
Street performance
More power for a vehicle that's still driven regularly. Cam, heads and supporting modifications chosen to work together rather than as a parts list.
- Camshaft & valvetrain packages
- Cylinder head work
- Intake & exhaust supporting mods
- Driveability kept in mind
Heavy-duty / towing
Built for sustained load and heat — a truck that works for a living needs an engine specified for that, not a stock rebuild with a bigger radiator.
- Load-focused component choices
- Cooling & oiling considerations
- Durability over peak numbers
- Built for real duty cycles
Custom performance build
High-horsepower and one-off builds — forged internals, forced induction, and a combination planned around your actual power target and how you'll use it.
- Forged pistons & rods
- ARP hardware throughout
- Turbo / supercharger installs
- Full combination planning
Capabilities
Engine work we take on
Engine diagnosis through complete R&R, plus the machine work, internal upgrades and supporting systems that make a build hold together.

Swaps and forced-induction builds involve a lot beyond the engine itself — mounting, wiring, cooling, fuel and driveline. Those start with a conversation about the vehicle, the goal and the budget, so we can plan a combination that actually works.
Our Process
How an engine build happens
Quality transmission and engine rebuilding isn't a parts swap. It's proper inspection, precision assembly, and attention to detail at every stage — which is what separates a rebuild that lasts from one that comes back.
Initial diagnostics & evaluation
We establish what the unit is actually doing before anything comes apart — symptoms, codes, and how the vehicle behaves under load.
Complete disassembly & inspection
The unit is removed, cleaned, and fully disassembled so every internal component can be seen rather than assumed.
Component inspection & fault identification
Internal components are measured and checked against specification to identify exactly what has failed and what is on its way out.
Replacement & applicable upgrades
Worn components are replaced, and upgrades are installed where they make sense for how you use the vehicle — not added for the sake of it.
Precision reassembly
Reassembly follows proper specifications and clearances. This is where a rebuild is won or lost — tolerances matter more than parts alone.
Final testing & quality control
The finished unit is tested and verified before it goes back in the vehicle, so problems are caught on the stand rather than on the road.
Parts & Components
What goes inside the build
A rebuild is only as good as what goes inside it. We select components for the specific application in front of us — a stock replacement, a truck that tows, and a high-horsepower build don't get the same parts.
Raybestos
Friction materials and clutch components for rebuilds where their spec fits the application.
Alto
Clutch packs and friction materials, including performance and heavy-duty formulations.
TransGo
Shift kits and valve body upgrade components for firmer, more consistent shifts.
Precision torque converters
New and upgraded converters, including units matched to the build's stall and load requirements.
ARP hardware
High-strength fasteners for engine builds where holding torque and stretch matter.
Fel-Pro gaskets
Sealing components for engine and transmission assembly.
Brand names are the property of their respective owners. We select components job by job based on the application, and we are not an authorized dealer or distributor for any of the brands listed. Mention of a brand describes a part we may use — it is not a partnership or sponsorship claim.
Questions
Engine & powertrain FAQs
Common questions about rebuilds, swaps and how we quote engine work.
It depends on the unit, the parts required, and what we find inside once it's apart. A straightforward rebuild with parts on the shelf moves faster than one needing hard parts sourced. We'll give you a realistic timeline after the initial inspection — not a guess before we've opened it up.

Combinations matter. We'd rather help you spec it once than fix a mismatch later.
