Transmission Rebuilding & Repair
Transmission work
done properly.
Complete automatic transmission rebuilds — from factory-spec replacement to heavy-duty towing and high-performance builds. Diagnosed first, built to specification, and backed by a 2-year transmission rebuild warranty.
What We Do
Every part of the job
A rebuild is a system, not a single part. These are the areas we handle — what your unit actually needs is determined by inspection, and we'll walk you through what we find.
Complete automatic transmission rebuilds
The unit comes apart, gets cleaned and inspected, and worn components are replaced rather than patched — the full job, done properly.
Heavy-duty & towing transmission builds
Built for sustained load and heat. Towing punishes a transmission in ways daily driving doesn't, so these get their own spec.
High-performance transmission builds
For engines making real power — upgraded internals and valve body work to hold up under torque the factory unit wasn't built for.
Custom builds for high-horsepower applications
When off-the-shelf doesn't cover it. Tell us the power level, the vehicle and how you use it, and we'll spec the build around it.
Transmission diagnostics & troubleshooting
We establish the actual fault before recommending a rebuild. Some problems are electronic — those don't need a rebuild at all.
Transmission removal & installation
Full R&R handled in-house, including the parts that are easy to get wrong — cooling lines, mounts, and the linkage.
Upgraded clutch packs & friction materials
Where the factory friction material is the weak point, the rebuild is the moment to fix it properly.
TransGo shift kits & valve body upgrades
Shift quality, line pressure and shift timing sorted at the valve body — the difference between a transmission that shifts and one that shifts right.
New & upgraded torque converters
Converters matched to the build. A stock converter behind a built engine undoes a lot of the work you paid for.
Precision torque converters
Converters specified to the application's stall and load requirements rather than whatever happens to fit.
Transmission cooling system upgrades
Heat is what kills transmissions. Extra cooling capacity is one of the highest-value upgrades for towing and performance use.
Electronic solenoid & valve body repairs
Solenoid faults, pressure control issues and valve body wear — diagnosed and repaired without condemning a healthy transmission.
Transmission leak repairs
Seals, gaskets, lines and fittings. Leaks get fixed at the source, not topped up and forgotten.
We won't promise a rebuild is the answer before we've inspected the unit. Some transmissions aren't worth saving, and some just need the right part — we'll tell you which one you're looking at.
Warranty
2-Year Transmission Rebuild Warranty
Every transmission rebuild we complete carries a 2-year warranty. Coverage begins on the date the completed vehicle or rebuilt transmission is delivered.
Terms & Coverage
What the warranty
covers.
Read this before work begins so there are no surprises later. If anything here is unclear, ask us — we'd rather explain it up front than argue about it afterwards.
Full Warranty TermsWhat's covered
Workmanship from the original rebuild and the internal components replaced or serviced as part of it — clutch packs and friction materials, seals, gaskets, bushings, bearings and valve body components.
What's not covered
Damage from abuse, racing, operating beyond the agreed power or torque capacity, incorrect or contaminated fluid, overheating from outside causes, and unrelated engine, electrical or driveline failures.
What keeps it valid
Correct fluid and fluid levels, the maintenance schedule provided with your rebuild, prompt attention to leaks or slipping, and checking with us before another shop opens the unit.
How to make a claim
Contact the shop as soon as a problem appears, stop driving if it's slipping or overheating, then we schedule an inspection to establish the cause and determine coverage.
Warranty terms may vary by application. Performance and heavy-duty builds are built to a different specification than a stock replacement, and coverage reflects that. The full terms, exclusions and claim process are on our warranty information page.
Our Process
How a transmission rebuild happens
Quality transmission and engine rebuilding isn't a parts swap. It's proper inspection, precision assembly, and attention to detail at every stage — which is what separates a rebuild that lasts from one that comes back.
Initial diagnostics & evaluation
We establish what the unit is actually doing before anything comes apart — symptoms, codes, and how the vehicle behaves under load.
Complete disassembly & inspection
The unit is removed, cleaned, and fully disassembled so every internal component can be seen rather than assumed.
Component inspection & fault identification
Internal components are measured and checked against specification to identify exactly what has failed and what is on its way out.
Replacement & applicable upgrades
Worn components are replaced, and upgrades are installed where they make sense for how you use the vehicle — not added for the sake of it.
Precision reassembly
Reassembly follows proper specifications and clearances. This is where a rebuild is won or lost — tolerances matter more than parts alone.
Final testing & quality control
The finished unit is tested and verified before it goes back in the vehicle, so problems are caught on the stand rather than on the road.
Parts & Components
What goes inside the build
A rebuild is only as good as what goes inside it. We select components for the specific application in front of us — a stock replacement, a truck that tows, and a high-horsepower build don't get the same parts.
Raybestos
Friction materials and clutch components for rebuilds where their spec fits the application.
Alto
Clutch packs and friction materials, including performance and heavy-duty formulations.
TransGo
Shift kits and valve body upgrade components for firmer, more consistent shifts.
Precision torque converters
New and upgraded converters, including units matched to the build's stall and load requirements.
ARP hardware
High-strength fasteners for engine builds where holding torque and stretch matter.
Fel-Pro gaskets
Sealing components for engine and transmission assembly.
Brand names are the property of their respective owners. We select components job by job based on the application, and we are not an authorized dealer or distributor for any of the brands listed. Mention of a brand describes a part we may use — it is not a partnership or sponsorship claim.
Shipping
Already-removed
transmission?
If your transmission is already out of the vehicle, you may be able to send it to us for rebuilding rather than sourcing a replacement locally. It's an option worth asking about, especially for units that are hard to find or expensive to buy.
Ask About ShippingRequest a quote
Tell us the transmission model, the vehicle it came out of, and what it was doing.
Prepare it for shipping
We'll advise how to drain, seal, pallet and label the unit so it arrives intact.
Inspection on arrival
We inspect the unit and come back to you with what it actually needs before work starts.
Rebuild & return shipping
Once approved and rebuilt, the finished unit ships back to you.
Please note: shipping service is offered subject to availability and is confirmed case-by-case before anything is sent. Contact us first — please don't ship a transmission without arranging it with us.
Questions
Transmission rebuilding FAQs
The questions we get asked most about rebuilds, warranties and what the process actually involves.
It depends on the unit, the parts required, and what we find inside once it's apart. A straightforward rebuild with parts on the shelf moves faster than one needing hard parts sourced. We'll give you a realistic timeline after the initial inspection — not a guess before we've opened it up.
Not sure whether you need a rebuild, a repair, or a replacement?
Send us the details and we'll tell you straight what your transmission actually needs.
